Plan For Passing Attack

Nobody's really mentioned this, but I really believe that Kenjon Barner will be a huge part of our passing offense as a scatback, Sproles style. I believe that's a big part of Rivera and G-man's plan and that sort of explains why they aren't going after any FA WRs of great notability. Barner could be a huge threat especially if opposing teams turn up the blitz due to our poor o-line and we can run those screenplays that we'd run with DeAngelo. Anyone else see it happening? And working??

Barner isn't gonna last in the NFL. He looked like a blow up doll everytime he touched the ball last season. He got obliterated every single time. Kid is gonna get himself killed.

Like I said in another thread, people will defend him even if our offense is poo. They'll say it would be unfair to fire him when we've had limited WR/O Line talent, and he deserves another chance at OC this time with better players (which is exactly what people said last time around).

I haven't given up on Barner. Kid is a legit talent but I think everyone knew it would take him a minute to adjust to the NFL. Maybe he never does, but I have no problem taking a chance on that kind of talent in the 6th round.

Barner needs about 10-15 lbs of muscle, but I do think he'll be a weapon.

Barner is playing his regular position and coming out of a real school, the opposite of AE.
