Trade Target: Denarius Moore?

This is something I've been talking about before I even heard about him being available, simply because of some rumors floating around about him not being a fit with their scheme.

This would be a fantastic move and one that makes a ton of sense.  Moore is a skilled player who has shown flashes with less than stellar QBs throwing him the ball. In addition to that, he's still on a rookie contract and even if we had to sign him to an extension, he likely wouldn't break the bank.

I'd see if I could get him for the 5th or 6th, but in the end, a 4th would be a fair price.

Give them a 5th, and get it done.

I am just glad to hear that G-man is even considering a trade for Moore because it just makes too much sense.

There was probably a time during this off-season that I may have jumped at a 4th, but the draft is so deep that I can see why G-man would balk at a 4th.

That being said, as has been mentioned earlier in this thread, we have Alexander, Addison and Horton as well. Perhaps some type of trade including one of them should be considered in a trade for Moore.

Moore can't catch. End of thread.

His catching ability has improved year over year, last year catching 53% of his attempts (not a great number, but it continues his improvement over the first two years)  It's worth noting that he had Pryor, Mcgloin, etc. throwing him the ball, and a number of his routes were deep balls which have a lower catch rate.

He's had Carson Palmer (who was terrible with the Raiders), Terrell Pryor, Matt Flynn, Matt Mcgloin, and Jason Campbell throwing him the ball over the past three years.  None of which are known for throwing an accurate deep ball.

He had the same drop percentage at Brandon Lafell last year, but the important piece is that Moore is improving year over year, while Lafell wasn't.  Lafell also had the superior QB.

Moore can't catch. End of thread.

Granted, he may not have the best hands in the world, but that's something that can be worked on. He is a legitimate play-maker nevertheless. Furthermore, his drop rate in 2013 wasn't any worse than what we let go. This video demonstrates that he can catch.
