Jones to the Raiders.

Anyone who thought we were going to get Jones are dreaming.  How many times does it need to be said that if they are going to high priced we are not going there.  We will get some guys who are not overpriced who will play well in our system.  Jones has always played in a WCO.  What system do we play??  We want guys who can play in our vertical type system which is why we are looking at a guy like Cottery who played in Pittsburgh who plays a similar system.  We have plenty of time to get guys and they won't be names everyone is clamoring for.  Plus we like guys we already have which is why we plucked them originally.  Everyone wants draft picks but who is to say they will be better than McNutt for example.

@AdamSchefter: With former Packers WR James Jones now a Raider, it leaves Panthers in a challenging veteran-WR-less spot.

Likes apparently it's obvious to literally everyone else in the fugging world

Gettle supporters will still find a way to defend him.

Why do so many of you get so upset when you know, good and well, that we don't have the money to pay for these high-profile players? Especially when they aren't worth the money they are asking for?!?! You should know, based on the contracts that have been given to the guys we didn't re-sign, that the FA market is over-inflated.

Maybe in a few days some players are gonna shake loose that we can afford at minimal salaries. Stop getting your hopes up and then freaking out when everybody who's anybody has told you we don't have any money for these high profile players!!!!

So irritating how so many people fall in love with overrated players come free agency time.

Gettleman can't help it if these wr's want more then He can offer. After draft picks the team has like 2 million left in cap space this season and is in bad shape next season as well. Panthers can't really afford more then 1 to 2.5 million a season for multi year deals and vet min on 1 year deals.
