ESPNNFL seems like a breeding ground for all the NFL has-been GMs

His career and legacy left behind removes the rest.

I hope they show his "resume" at the bottom of the screen when they're having him on. What ESPN will probably show:

• Panthers went to playoffs 3 times while he was GM
• 1 super bowl appearance. 
• Drafted 8 Pro Bowlers

What they should show:

• Extended 2 RBs to long term deals with huge guaranteed money right when the position was becoming increasingly irrelevant.
• Twice traded away future 1st round pick to draft 2 players who played a total of 13 games and are both out of the league
• Signed a mediocre kicker to a 4 year 12M deal

I appreciate the opinions of former players, coaches, and GMs.  I'd much rather hear from those guys than the typical talking heads.  Even if they failed miserably, they can bring a much different insight into situations than people who haven't walked in those shoes.

I guess I'm one of the few who think Hurney did a pretty good job with this organization. He drafted lots of talent and put this team in a good position to win. His only problem was getting too attached to the players he drafted... Resulting in overpaying
