Cooks isnt very good vs man coverage tends to get bullied. Hes no smitty clone.

thats just not true bro.

but sitting at #28, a decent talent WR could fall right into our laps.its up to the FO to do their HW and make sure that guy fits into what they want.

I would be all for trading up to grab Watkins, we just have so many holes we need to address in the draft it wouldn't be worth giving up a ton of picks to make it happen.

Look at the aftermath in Atlanta after they traded house to grab Julio Jones.

I wouldn't be against it if somehow we could trade Hardy for a pick high enough to draft Watkins or a elite LT. The Raiders might be a possibility to make this happen they have a boatload of cash, high draft pick, and an unwavering desire to make horrible decisions.

I still think carolina may trade Hardy yet.  Just makes too much sense.  However, it does not make sense for teams in the top 5 picks to trade for Hardy now if they cant guarentee Clowney wont fall.  Its possible gettlemen has a deal in place that is contingent on Clowney going in the first few picks.  If that happens said team will deal for hardy.

(2 first rounders required for signing a tagged player but team can approve other compensation)

Team gives Carolina their #1 & #2 picks

Carolina drafts Watkins, #28 Brandin Cooks, OLx2 in the 2nd, BPA from that point on. Still may pick up the huge Brandon Coleman in the 4th. (Yes I love this guy. he needs to be a panther.)

Alexander fills in for Hardy and doesnt miss a beat. Gman looks like a genious.
