Could Gettleman be waiting until next year to fill the WR void?

Sure he is.  He has said repeatedly that he is looking at a few years down the road with each move.  That is why for example many of the players are gone.  He isn't just looking at the short term.

What I mean is, yes....he's looking down the road with every move. But I don't think he's saying "let's not sign this WR...the WRs next year are better". I think he's just being smart so we are in good shape in the future and in a position to sign big name players whether that's a WR, CB, OL or any other position.

In that case I would agree.  You can't assume that next year's free agency will be better or worse than this year until next year at this time.  Besides I don't think he counts on free agency for his core players.  That comes through the draft.

Since you are the biggest Carolina fans, please give a read and give me your honest opinion.

It's more like meet your current wide receivers. You could expand on who we may possibly sign in the near future, and who we could be targeting in the draft.

I hope he can rebuild a little thru the draft.  At 12-4, getting pick 28 means no Watkins or Evans.  James Jones is interested in coming, and Cotchery is visiting but both are just stop gap measures on the wrong side of 30.  I do think that King could be a special talent and was a good pickup last season.   Other teams wanted him.  I certainly hope that there are more moves coming because I think the Panthers are really building something and I don't want them to be picked clean after 1 great season.

I would enjoy redoing the article after silly season and the draft.  What's left out there now isn't too appetizing.  I really want feedback on what you feel is accurate or maybe not as accurate right now.  If I need to look for other sources of info I want to know.  I do a ton of reading, but there is alot of "information" out there and maybe some of it is off the mark.

That being said, maybe Odell Beckham will make it to pick 28.  Here's to hoping.
