I think that we can all agree on JC and JJ, but what about JF as another target for Cam?

I think that we can all agree that we'd be pleased, if not downright relieved, if Gettleman could somehow work his magic on Jesus C---pardon me---Jerricho Cotchery and James Jones in particular.  They would be solid signings, if not downright spectacular if Gettleman could somehow squeeze in Jermichael Finley into the fold.  We're still dealing with little money, but I would hope that the lure of Cam and a possible longer term future with a championship contender would make Finley chill on his seemingly prima-donna-like ways and consider following his ex-teammate (provided we can even get that done).  The Seahawks had been showing Finley interest, and still may be, but they just re-upped Zach Miller.

That would be a nice trifecta of sorts with as little money as we're dealing with this off-season. And it would make G-man look like a motherfuging boss, even if we did all know it was by luck and default.

What do you say? That's me, always trying to think outside the box.  Nice trifecta, indeed. That, or call the Raiders about that 5th round pick for Denarius Moore.

Thought you meant Jacoby Ford, who could effectively replace Ginn.

Well, admittedly that's probably more likely.  I'd rather have Finley's services though...I think. The pass catching TE would probably provide a better target for Cam, particularly with how Shula wants to call games.

Jason Avant....mr reliable will be in the mix I'm sure

I see Cotchery and Avant filling the same purpose, so it would surprise me if we sign both. Cotchery is obviously the first choice. He would make for a fine stop-gap WR3 with possible WR2 upside. I kind of see King playing that same type of WR3 role, but who knows.  Avant, due to his lack of YAC is probably only a WR3 at best. And I doubt that Shula's play calling wouldn't bring out his best.

    • You are correct. In 2020, ESPN had us 32nd in terms of continuity. All the coaches were new and we lost tons of starters like Luke, Cam, Greg, TD, etc. CMC played 10 games in Rhule’s first two years. Rhule wasn’t good but we came close to beating both #1 seeds in 2020 with Teddy and we started 2021 3-0 and there was talk about playoff byes. Again, bad but much better than the coach and GM we empowered. The Cowboys game really threw ice water on the 5 game feel good run, but it still feels way better than the we got lucky to win 2 games last year.
    • The best WR college football are both true freshman, this tmac is more of a mid first round pick.
