"With the Panthers beginning to stretch their legs in free agency, the guys they haven’t contacted are raising their hands.

Packers free agent James Jones is sending out word that he too would be interested in filling in a blank depth chart.

“I would love the opportunity to play for the Carolina Panthers,” Jones told Josina Anderson of ESPN. “I would love to play with Cam [Newton].”

He was just in record last week saying he would like to be a charger or Colt. The chargers dont have the $$ & the Colts probably didn't want em. I guess he saw the struggle we were having over here & just made himself available. They better jump on it

All free agents make similar statements, it's really just a way to create buz around their name.  Their agent wants to set them up for the most lucrative contract possible, so that involves marketing their players to the best team fits, etc. 

 

Whether or not we will actually sign him, is another story.

Bringing in guys that played in an extremely pass heavy system is always sketchy because theyre all gonna put up impressive numbers. Like does anyone in their right mind think eric decker will even have half the season he had this year now that hes on the jets?
