Cotchery to Visit Monday!

Cotchery is perhaps the most underrated third receiver in the league over the last few years. He regularly makes big plays, is a reliable possession receiver and dominates the middle of the field, an absolute must for a team like the Panthers who are in need of a good third receiver. Here's hoping we can sign him for a reasonable amount of money.

Preach. He isn't a world beater, but has good hands. I still can believe that he had 10 TD's last year. He's a good 3rd receiver and cheap.

The team needs receivers who can score touchdowns instead of being tackled on the 1 yard line. Cam would've had 10 more passing TD's if the receivers could finish or were an inch longer.

Hmmm...

Go back to losing with a broke down team & QB

Vs

Wreaking havoc with Ace Boogie & the kings of the south

His broke down QB outperformed Ace Boogie last season.

I want Cotchery, but when you compare stats keep in mind Big Ben threw the ball 80 more times than Cam and was a little more accurate.

Our WR's stats suffered as we shifted to a ball control/run first offense. Less opportunities means less stats.

Love what Cotchery brings and would be an upgrade to Ginn for what his team needs in the passing game (hurts the ST). My issue, as was already stated, is that Cotchery signing might satisfy Gettleman and keep James Jones away.... Which I would not want. Jones is the guy left on the FA market that we need, in addition to Cotchery. Designate Godfrey a 6/1 cut and snag both of these WRs, and all of a sudden our WR unit looks equal to last years squad once we add a couple of draft picks.

You guys act like Jones and Cotchery will be the only FAs available the rest of the offseadon.

June first cuts are still to come, and again some of our best pickups have come in or around training camp when teams cut players. Not saying we should wait that long, but these dudes aren't gonna be the last of them until the season starts.
