Okay guys, here is the big secret to keeping players and signing free agents- money.

 

If you pay them, they will want to play for you.  If you dont pay them, they will not.  Players are not leaving because they feel disrespected or because they hate the GM, they are leaving because they can get more money elsewhere.

Branch might have not been elite but he was good and 10x better than any WR we currently have. Troy Brown was also good.

I may be alone here but I didn't want everyone gone, just pushed back on depth chart. Let Lafell go, sign Ginn (3.3 mil ain't bad) you're paying Smitty anyway so keep him, and put him in the slot. Give Nicks his one year deal and draft a WR in rounds 1 or 2.

2. Rookie

3. Smitty(Slot)

4. Ginn (ST)

3mil towards getting him off the books! We were winning in large part due to our defense. People refuse to acknowledge a whole mess of targets that Smith botched that three years ago he wouldn't have. Accept that it was time to move on! Would I have rather seen others go? Yes. But he was the lesser evil

no I won't accept it...ever. I will accept the fact that the team will probably go 5-11 this yr. 7-9 if they're lucky. I honestly don't know what you're talking bout as far as botched targets but ppl keep refusing to acknowledge the fact that Cam & Hardy attributed last years winning streak to Smith's speeches & overall leadership. Who's gonna come in & give them that? They may put up the same #s as him but that missing leadership will be what probably causes them all to fail

you should just do some research love. During the interview before the Mnf game against the Pats they asked Cam what lit he fire beneath them causing them to go on their streak & he said Steve came in the locker room & basically said we're not losing this year so get it together ofc in the way Smitty would say it. & Greg said the same last week when he went on first take. You can call It a pep rally or whatever but they said it motivated them. Im not sure Cam is ready to step up & take that role yet but he obviously doesn't have a choice now.
