I wonder if Jones could be had for 3 years/12.3 mil.

It would leave us with about 2 mil left in cap space to possibly give Rice a 1 yr/2 mil prove it deal.

I really don't even like having to take a chance on Rice (who's oft injured).

If Britt were to get into trouble and suspended or Rice was to get injured; we'd be screwed as McNutt would have to become our #3.

A week ago the thought of Jones as our number one would be a nightmare scenario, now it may be our best case scenario.

Though I may prefer Rice, neither is anything to write home about.

If we could get Brandin Cooks, the Vikings version of Sidney Rice, and the James Jones of a few years ago, we'd be in business. Unfortunately that's a big "IF".
