Why in the hell would the Patriots signing him be a good thing? We have no WRS, NONE. At least we know who Lafell is and what to expect, maybe he can improve. A month ago I wanted Lafell gone, but thats before losing Smith, Hixon, Ginn, and not signing Nicks. The sad truth is we need Lafell, like it or not.

Lafell is one of the best blocking WR's in the league let alone FA WRs... so name some names..

LaFell is one of the best run blocking WRs in the NFL, and I would love to have him as a #3 or #4 option. I just know that if he were signed he wouldn't be used that way, but instead would be Legatroned in as the #2 based purely on 'knowing the system,' so prefer he goes elsewhere.

You can't expect better results with the same pieces.  The new players we bring in may not be the answer, but over the past few years, it has been proven that Lafell isn't the answer for us. Hell, I don't want someone like Mcnutt who has potential getting buried on the depth chart so we can keep lafell.  In my opinion, it's not about our #3 WR right now, and I don't think its about our #2 (likely will be an early draft pick for a WR that will immediately step into that role), but we need someone who can be a #1 this year.  Lafell CANT do that, so IMO he isn't worth a wasted roster spot.
