Is it safe to say that..

We are probably going to double dip in the draft in the Wide out position? Things look a bit dire in that area. I know it's not set in stone that that is going to be our corp. But seeing that this years crop of wide outs in the draft is very deep. Making it very possible that Gettleman is thinking of double dipping in a position like he did a while back when, yeah, you guess it, the defensive tackle position was deep then. Of course we had a god send in Star falling to us. Still. I would not put it past the brass to sign one solid wide out and then draft a couple come may. Personally would want wide out in the first and in the third or fourth. Say Brandin Cooks(1)-Brandon Coleman(4) Jordan Matthews(1)-Jeff Janis(4) Then grab the best tackle in the second and BPA the rest of the draft.

Cooks, Benjamin, Matthews, Lee -- Hopefully we take one of these and if by some miracle one of them is there at 60 we take another

Coleman, Bryant, Moncrief, Street -- Barring a miracle fall to 60 we take one of these as well

If we double dip that's what I expect to see.

Also, that is to early for Janis imo.

The thing is teams can get by with less WR talent. Panthers went 12-4  Pats who probably had the worst WR core went 12-4

Now you can't really get by with less OL talent.
-You can't run the ball

-Long plays can't develop

-Cam is going to get sacked and maybe hurt

-Look at giants this year they had terrible OL and teams killed them. Eli Nick and Cruz did not live up to potential because the line couldn't hold up

If you look at the playoff teams there are several that don't have good WR cores

Panthers Pats Seahawks

Now can you name any playoff teams without a good OL

Pats Broncos 49ers Hawks all have very good OLs

Robert Herron

Hope you guys don't get him.  Watching game vids of Brett Smith, one thing jump out at me more than Brett Smiths inability to go through progressions, Robert Herron can make plays.

Undersized but has really good speed.  Not just a blow the top off Ted Ginn type of speedster, he'll make plays in traffic, work underneath, has the athleticism to go up and get the ball.  Like him a lot.  Not sure where he goes though round wise.  Senior Bowl week really put him on the map.  Teams are looking at him for sure.

Depending on where the other more high profile burners go, I could see him going in in the third.
