What if trading for Sammy Watkins is the endgame?

Then Gettleman is as bright as the helmet thread Huddlers.

Watkins is not worth trading up for. If his career did not consist of 85% bubble screens id be more for it...

To trade up the guy has to be Megatron, Julio Jones, Andre Johnson combo of size speed.

Even so Atl showed they were reeling from giving up so much in the Julio Jones trade.

I think if the situation and player is right, trading a complete draft for the right player isnt that crazy, but you just better pray they turn out to be a baller because otherwise you will be crucified by the media.

every time I think trading away our entire draft is a stupid idea I think of the 2009 draft, where it could not have been worse, only player worth a damn that we drafted was Capt and heck if we didnt get him in the 7th we could have got him as a UDFA.

To use Atlanta's very similar move up in 2011 for Julio Jones, they had to move from 27 to 6....very similar to where we are and would need to get to (possibly even 5).  They gave up their 2011 1st (27), 2nd (59), 4th (124) and their 2012 1st and 4th.  Pretty big haul to get a talented WR.... but as has been stated, if we were one or two guys away from being perennial SB contenders, I could live with it.  After getting Watkins and only having a 3rd and 5th left this year, plus losing next year's first hurts is not enough value.  Especially when this draft is ridiculously WR heavy.  I'd love to add Watkins and he looks to be a stud too.
