TB will suck again. They had a big free agency period 2 years ago and sucked that year.

I'm not asking for us to spend like the bucs, or broncos, or jaguars. I'm asking for us to stop sitting on our asses and start trying to improve. Oh, btw, cutting Steve Smith is not what one would consider "improving" nor is it considered improving when the next best player at Smith's position is a 6th round pick out of Iowa, who is yet to complete a pass and has the last name "McNutt".

So one DB? Ok so let's bring back DJ Moore and have a secondary of Melvin White, Josh Thomas, Robert Lester and Charles Godfrey (assuming he stays healthy and does not get cut). Roddy White, Julio Jones, Vincent Jackson, Marques Colston and Kenny Stills will have wet dreams to that thought.

For real though, secondary needs much improving, IMO. And how could it not? We lost 3 starters off of it.

Do you have any idea how many players have gone undrafted? If you want us to count on McNutt because an ENTIRELY different player who went un drafted became good then that's fine. Thankfully Gettleman is not that crazy.

I disagree. If I remember correctly, our main secondary starting lineup was Munnerlyn, White, Mikell and Mitchell. Maybe I am wrong, in which case I apologize.

Well then obviously you have not been following free agency. Have we not attempted to sign any free agents? The only difference would have been money. If we had offered Collins more money, there is no doubt he would have signed with us. Same with Nicks (but we were not really interested).

 

Most of the FAs that have signed would have required a lot of money when you count how much they got with the other teams. That would amount to "throwing money" at FAs.

What had Victor Cruz done prior to breaking out? No one can know whether or not McNutt would pan out but if the guy in charge of putting talent on the roster believes he can contribute, I would wait to see if that happens rather than freak out.

So we'll count on Mcnutt because Victor Cruz had an unpredictable season?

I'm not dissing Mcnutt. I'm dissing the idea of having him as our 1 WR right now. I can stomach the thought of him as a #3, but starting? just no. Cutting Smith was so stupid it's beyond comprehendible. But I'll stay optimistic that Gettleman will not let us go in with nothing but scrubs or unproven, unknown players starting at WR next season.
