Every year is different. The challenge is pretty much never the same. And that shouldn't surprise anyone.

And if players are watching, they're not just watching Steve Smith. They're also watching Jordan Gross talking emotionally about how great it was here. Or they're watching Mike Mitchell talk glowingly about how much he loves the Panthers organization even though he's not one of us anymore. And there are other examples too.

You can't go on the assumption that an NFL player is going to look at the Steve Smith cut the same way a bunch of longtime Panther fans do. That's highly unlikely to say the least.

Every guy out there who's had enough years to be a free agent has been around long enough to see a well-liked teammate get cut. And not all of them handle it well, but everyone understands that it's a business. And part of that business is realizing that if other guys who plied a one year stint with us into a big payday, maybe they can do it too.

yeah, I think that should help us a lot in the mid tier FA market, if anything Ginn, Mitchell have shown that we will give you a chance and you can use us to help you get a better pay day

No panic and rage from me, just concern; most of it stemming from how he (GMAN) handled the Smith ordeal. I'm sure he'll figure it out, but if you're not concerned then what's the point of being a fan? I've always figured that being an avid fan means that you are emotionally invested in the team, I could be wrong; but I doubt it.

I find it crazy that people come to football MB and expect everybody to be like them.

If we're not talking about the moves that are not being made or we wish the team would make.

Why even come here in March thru August? ?

Why not just stay away until September yourself if you don't like seeing fans get concerned in the off-season?

Teh Huddle bout to have zero posters. Has anyone NOT made a poo post in the last couple of days? Be honest now...

Yeah either people are making concern over the off-season thread. Or people are making why are you concern threads.

Both can get out of hand and really condescending.

Either worship the management or don't post here.

    • Yes.  And this converts directly to confidence.  Does the coach have confidence to call a deep dig or seam route?  Does Bryce have confidence in his ability to be the Alpha?  Do his teammates have confidence.  About film--when I see Cam Newton's pre-snap confidence vs. Bryce's, it is night and day.   Film--tells you if the WRs are open (why l love watching the Replay telecasts from the end zone cameras--you can see it.  I have seen 2 WRs open and Bryce's eyes are on the outlet WR or the pass rush. )  You can see progressions, and he has improved a bit--but he is very quick to rush through 1 and 2 and checkdown--that is a lack of confidence in his ability to read the defense.  I had a former NFL TE (Deems Maye) who played QB in high school (not sure about college) tell me that the best QBs read the defense by knowing where everyone will be when the ball is to arrive--not where they are.  I think his QB at the time was Humphries.  He said that Humphries would throw the ball into coverage before the cuts etc.  because he understood DB momentum, zone areas, etc.  and he could just see it.  Said so when people say nobody was open, they are usually right because nobody should be "open" when the QB has the ball--when the ball arrives, everyone should be open.  He said Humphries was never "great" but his skills were limited--from a small school--but his ability to read a defense made him never give up on a route.

Bessingers or Melvin's BBQ sauce.  However Bessingers is the best in the world, Melvin is 2nd.    I found this article    In fact, the New York Times Magazine described the sauce as “terrifically balancing the tangs of mustard and vinegar with a wood fire's charry flavor.” While helping his dad, Joseph “Big Joe” Bessinger, as a teenager in the kitchen of the family's first restaurants, Thomas learned the secret recipe for the gold sauce – ... https://www.bessingersbbq.com › t...
