People already moving on to the next thing, but is there any evidence James Jones is coming?

There was a tweet on Wednesday that said the Panthers were lurking and were interested in James Jones, but there hasn't been anything since then and I can't even find the original tweet. People are acting like James Jones will be the new savior. Two problems: 1. He's only slightly better than Brandon LaFell. 2. Other than that one tweet, zero evidence exists that I know of that James Jones is coming here. There was way more evidence to support Nicks coming here than Jones.

Ok let me help you then.  We are waiting to see how many teams are interested in him.  That will tell us whether he will come cheaper or not.  The longer he doesn't get signed the more desperate he will be to find a team.  We have several guys we are looking at and all we need is one or two to sign with us.  Instead of going out and overpaying we are just going to sit out and wait until all the excitement settles down and then sign a few guys between now and the draft.

James Jones is good but he is a litte older..at least with Nicks if he "Proved it!" he is 25 and still has an upside....jones is on the downswing.

Also other than people here naming him I see nothing on this front.

No I actually doubt Carolina signs any FA's for another week until all the prices come down.  I could see a Lance Moore coming in...James Jones probably not.
