At this point I'd try and sign a LT in free agency and hopefully double up with WRs in draft. I honestly think we can get better WRs in the draft then what is out there right now. I'd grab some depth veteran WRs for cheap. I honestly do not think Jones or Saunders are any better than LaFell.

I mean no disrespect but a lot of you don't get why all these posters are actually upset.

 

I mean no disrespect but it's funny to me that people are emotional in March.   We have no idea what the future is going to be.  It's all based on who us couch warriors feel are the better players.  If it's not a huddle favorite or a big name player then it's the OMG we fail attitude.  It's a snowball and just gets bigger and bigger.

 

You know when the time to actually get upset?  Right before the season starts.   Not preseason, but right before the season.  Then after the first game you go into crazy OMG, I can't believe they think this was going to work mode.  Now it's people going crazy off of speculation.

 

Now a lot of the huddle is in crazy mode.  Some people are super duper angry. Some are is the season is doomed mode.  The people who have been always borderline have jumped off the cliff.  I find it funny.  So I post gifs and snarky remarks because when we reread this a few months for now the same people will either be like I told you so or I knew we would be OK.  It happens every year.

We didn't make him an offer.  Never even had him in for a visit.

I'm not emotional. Just to clear that up. I am just concerned we have major holes at WR, CB, S, and OT with very limited payroll. I am confused by why we cut Smith when we already where weak at the position. We don't save any money from cutting him really. We are paying him more money to play against us then the ravens are paying him to play for them.

 

I'm done explaining this. It's getting old. There is plenty of reason for concern and confusion. Unfortunately all we can do is wait it out and bitch about the ride along the way. Good day sir.

It wouldn't be the first player Gettleman missed on. Cut Smith and he had a job less than 24 hours later. But I guess he knows more than the Patriots, Ravens, and Seahawks too because all they've done is win Super Bowls. I thought nobody wanted a loud mouth 35 year old WR

The story in the Observer last night was that we never even contacted him.

 

That story changed this morning.  My post was made before the new story.

 

As to La Canfora's story, no confirmation of that at this point.

I heard Sorenson of the Observer the other day on the radio, saying the current version of the Panthers' FO is air tight. No leaks. If it's not an official statement, then it's a rumor and likely to be wrong. So no surprise to me that nobody knew the real story on Nicks.
