Yeah, I guess I misread that situation. The quote about their GM being some kind of great closer lead me to believe they were going to spend to keep him there. Oh well. I trust Gettleman to at least know the guys on his old team better than most. If the Giants let him walk, and he only signed for 3.5 mil, it's obvious now that we never really made a play for him. Given his stats the last couple of years, I guess it really shouldn't be a surprise.
