He's a savvy vet who would know how to get everyone lined up, which is what I think Mitchell's biggest and most underrated contribution was.

One trait he obviously shares with Mitchell is his willingness to completely sell out on a hit.  Watch any video of him and you'll see clearly he holds nothing back.

 

That is something I'd like to see taught to any young safeties we have.

I actually like Clark.

He's not the player he used to be but he's a heady player and heady players usually have long careers because when their athleticism goes their intelligence takes over.

A one year deal for Clark would be a good signing for G-Man.

Have one year of Clark and Lester and maybe by next year Lester will be ready to be the go to guy back there.

I like Clark too. I immediately thought of him once Mitchell signed there.

 

But after cutting Smitty, signing a 35yo FS isn't going to sit well. But he's a better option than Harper.

that's just stupid to say. Just because Harper played for the Saints and was a jerk towards us doesn't make that true. Even though Harper missed 7 games last season, he is still one of the top safeties in the NFL. One of the best tackling safeties in the NFL and the missed sacking safety in the NFL. Would be a great replacement to Mitchell. Plus 4 years younger than Clark
