Pilares was waived/ir so he's still on the roster.  I understand you guys wished that DG had been a bit more sentimental, but you're wrong to think DG did Beason and Smith wrong.  Which he could have.  At least he set Beason up with an opportunity to resurrect his career in a good situation for himself where he could be a starter at his position of choice.  DG did him a solid.  DG also could have held on to Smitty until we got a 6th or 7th rounder for him and taken away his ability to choose his own team.  Players might not "like" him and I don't have a problem with it honestly.  He as proven to have an eye for talent and is a tireless grinder.  One or more of these WOs on the roster could have their Melvin White season next year.

Excellent point.  Cruz Bursted on the scene in his first preseason of opportunity and was the number 1 WO that Giants fans never saw coming.  When young players get an opportunity to play nobody knows what will happen until they get out on the field.  Gett believes in some of these guys enough to think they will be at least as good or better than the former crop of underachievers.  I'm ready to see what some of these guys got

Be honest, how many of you have cut yourselves or just sat at home playing COD because a girl broke up with you? As much as I hate to see Smitty go, I believe one if not more of these dudes are going to show out...We will have no choice but to give them a chance now...Someone will rise to the occasion.

At this point, there will be a lot of competition in training camp this year!  Which is a GREAT THING!

 

We will add a Vet or two before the end of things.  We're going to do it intelligently.  Flashy FAs look like great band aids, but don't always translate into instant success.  I am growing very tired of the same melodrama.  The "woe-is-me" talk is so passe.  

 

Move forward!  Stop staring in the past, hoping that chick doesn't trash your number and actually calls so you can date, start the perfect family....Err...I mean, yeah..  Look forward =)
