I still have hope but I really need Gettelman to plug 1 hole before the draft.

I think he will. There will be posters that poo on that player(s) but we still have a lot of talent on this team.

Offense is obviously the main concern, but I don't get people who think gettleman is doing all this to spite people or his arrogance is going to leave us with a losing season. That doesn't make sense. The guy wants to win, he wants to leave a mark on the football world.

It's ok to worry, I'm more anxious than worried because I still believe with the talent on this team and this new attitude coaching staff we can make the playoffs this year. We'll see.

how much will the way we handled the 1 year guys affect others who may want to sign? Won't that just draw those who want to get back in good graces instead of players currently considered viable?

Last year was last year. G-man was the new kid on the block, selling dreams to "outcasts" of the league who were willing to give him the old college try. It was magic. Gettlemagic. Well, like some of us have tried to tell others: The league is looking and watching now. Don't be naive. Guys with a little bit of game this year may not fall for the smooth talking anecdotes, proverbs and promises from good ol' grandpa-like Getty this year. They've seen that act. Add in the Smitty debacle and you never know what guys are thinking and how it's affecting the perception of the franchise.

Now I am not saying that this is the case (at least for everyone looking in), but what we may have here is the chickens coming home to roost.

I don't understand what act, what dream was he selling? What smooth talking specifically are you talking about? Gettlemen believed these " outcast" were talented and gave them a chance to prove it. They did and now some of them are receiving far better money and opportunities then they would have had our GM not recognized their talent. I don't see how this wouldn't be appealing for player who are in similar positions this year
