Get use to seeing Goodson all over the place

Man, talk about loaded in the backfield. I can't wait to see this kid in action. I really hope the running game is used like a sledgehammer this year. Soften up the opposing D, put a few in the air and finish in the 4th quarter with the run. That is a tried and true formula that will ALWAYS work if you have the right tools.

As I watch the video, I can see Goodson being our version of Wes Welker or Reggie Bush in the slot. He brings not only speed into the equation, but he is creative and quick once he reaches open space. He would be a great addition to Smith and Moose. Especially if Jarrett doesn't blossom immediately. But imagine if all four play well. We will have an offensive attack unlike any we have had before in Carolina. One that can go out and rival New Orleans. An offense that can make full use of Davidson's desire to spread the field and take advantage of mismatches. Goodson is a mismatch against most anyone.

I think he'll get most of his touches through the air, Williams and Stewart are just so much better on the ground it makes no sense for him to see any time there unless it's garbage time or they are both seriously winded (which is very unlikely).

A lot of it depends on his blocking, if he can get that down he'll get more touches.

He'll make the ends of our pre-season games a lot more exciting now, having a back to root for that will actually make the team will be fun.

i may be going wayyyy out on a limb here, but i honest think we have the tools to be a top-five offense this year.

Ridiculous ground game, (goodson will only make it better) more passing options, (goodson out of the backfield/slot, jarrett stepping up, all of which will take coverage off of smith if it's successful, and we know what happens then) Delhomme with a new QB coach who'll hopefully get him to spread the ball around to what's likely to be a myriad of open targets...

I think we are going to scare the sh*t out of some teams in the preseason, and for good reason.

Well he seems like he can run the draw pretty well. That should serve him well as the 3rd down back for us.

Oh wait, Henning isnt around to bash anymore. He's in Miami taking credit for something that is the new thing in the league, that DeAngelo actually did better, the year before.

I will start to get excited about the season if/when we put up 40 points on someone in the preseason. I can honestly say that was the time that I knew, last year, that our offense could be special. I was at a party, checking my cell phone every 5 minutes for the score...as I usually do if I cant watch it. I told everyone about how raw were were going to be on offense and everyone just laughed. I live in east-central Florida now, and everyone was like, yeah, whatever.....little did they know.

Actually to the person who said something about our offense being top 5....correct me if im wrong, but didnt we have the 2nd best scoring offense in the league the second half of the season last year?

Seems like he is the real deal. I have to confess that I never heard of him till we drafted him.

That's not a great sign.

I have followed him since he signed with A&M out of Palestine High School. This is a typical Heisman clip of great runs, but the fact is that he was underwhelming as college player and such occurances were few and far between.

The expectations on the Board are probably going to prove to be a little too high.

As NFL fans I think we know that Goodson is not THE answer, but PART of it.

If he were our#1 back I would be worried as well.

I see him as a Kevin Faulk kinda back for what the Panthers want.

A tough, fast heady ball player that can be plugged in as a RB, WR, slot, do something in the return game and special teams.

Heck he might even fly the team plane from time to time.

Yea he def look of the mold of Reggie Bush. Im not gonna get all high on him yet but it would be nice to see another threat at RB.

Wow he had some impressive plays. I never heard of him before we drafted him either, and now I understand the hype from some people about him. What an addition to the team, I'm excited to see how we use him, he definitely needs to get the ball some.

If you lived in Houston or Texas you would have known about him but the reason you haven't is that Texas A&M has sucked for awhile now. Goodson was one of the top 5 RBs in the state coming out of highschool. I came on this board when you guys drafted him and said you would like him...lol. I just wish we could have drafted him and kept him at home in Houston. lol. He will be better than Bush because he can run between the tackles if need be.
