Nicks visiting the Colts tonight

If Nicks runs the risk of being overshadowed by a 35 year old WR and TE, then why do we want him so badly? We obviously think he is better than our former 34 year old receiver.

Wayne was still beastly prior to getting hurt last year.     Wayne and Luck have amazing chemistry.  I fully believe that Hilton and Wayne will be the two go-to guys.    Nicks will be a third option...    depending on how much the Colts use their #1 TE over their #3 WR,  he could be their fourth option.

Nicks probably wants the chance to prove he's one of the top WRs in the NFL and should eventually be paid like one.    Can't really do that when you're the 3rd option on your team.

And how many years has Reggie Wayne got left? All they gota do is say Hakeem here's your money, easy division and wait til Reggie leaves and nicks will sign you an bet your life on it.

But what did I tell you guys, if the GM doesn't respect the players, the players won't respect him.

Lol, no. Money talks.

Nicks said he wants a long term deal = he wants to get paid.

Makes sense that he'll hear all the offers on the table.

Nicks would be the #1 option here. He'd be the 2nd WR behind T.Y. Hilton in Indy at best, depending on Wayne's status. We're home, Indy gets cold as poo in the winter.

I really think this is a play for leverage by Nicks. Unless the Colts throw big money at him that we just can't match I expect we'll throw a little more into our offer and sign him.

Jim Irsay is the owner.  Ryan Grigson is the GM.

Among the deals Grigson "got done" was trading a first rounder for Trent Richardson.

Grigson is the most overrated GM in the NFL. Some of the contracts he's dealt out make Marty Hurney look like Ozzie Newsome.
