Nicks visiting the Colts tonight

No. What Gett is now doing is the price to be successful. We are still in cap hell and restructuring some if these guys now to sign mid tier fa's would extend that hell.

Hurney left us in dire straights. Gett is trying to right the ship. Is his seat why going to work? Hope so, but don't know. What I do know us that sometimes it has to get worse before it can get better.

You don't blow up a 12-4 team that very well should have beaten SF and play Seattle for the NFC Championship. It just doesn't make sense. You go ahead and fix the leaks and add the pieces necessary to go all the way the next season.....what is going on in Carolina is a fire sale. Signing Hardy was just silly as his money could have held this team intact...now we get to see him play one more year before he walks away like Peppers. What a freaking travesty.

He's not blowing up anything. He released an aging WR who had 750 yards last year, had his LT retire (which Gross planned since last year), and refused to overpay to retain two marginal starters and an average 3rd WR.

Holy cow!  He's gutted the team!

Anyone who paid attention to the roster would've and should've known that with 21 free agents and 20M (I could be wrong but I think that's where it came to) that we were going to lose people. As much as I like Ginn and Mitchell, signing those two back on the deals that they received would've screwed us on adding anything else. Unfortunately, this is the position that we are in thanks to dead money on the cap from previous years. Are we going to regress? Definitely. Is it the end of the world? No. Last year, I can think of maybe a few people who thought that last years team would be over .500, so why act as if we were going to be world beaters again this year with the same people?

We dont know what next year is going to have in store for us, but to move forward, we have to do some things that will give us maximum flexibility in the future. Remember, we still have to figure out if we are going to accept Cam's option clause soon (which we probably are), and Luke is coming up soon as well. So many people were spoiled with the sweetheart deals that they got from Hurney in the past that they forget that the NFL is a business that pays based on your performance. That's why many of the vets on the team dislike Gettleman (if they do), because he doesnt care about what you did in the past, its about what you've done in the present and what you can do for us in the future. All we can do at this point is to sit back and watch the pieces fall where they may.

You kind of neglect losing the whole secondary, but OK.
