Smith gone due to being outspoken about Shula

yeah because it's a guy who's been here 13 years and then there's a guy who's been here 1 year and a half.................

and the guy who's been here 13 if you forgot, spoke his mind.............., so any complaints about shula definitely would have surface by now from smitty

Yet you've had 13 years to form a more accurate conclusion but choose to jump to conclusions on a guy you've only seen for 1 year who never have access to because he's works behind closed doors.

Whatever is the truth, you wouldn't know with that logic.

Let's talk pie charts.  What percent of the stuff happening behind closed doors does anyone here actually know?   If you show 5% or more, you are lying.  Here is stuff I know and have heard:

89 did complain about Chud.

89 complained in the media about teammates like Clausen, for example.

89 (rumor I heard from a reporter) was going to Cam to undermine Shula. Could he have been making it difficult for Cam to flourish?  If true, that is insubordination and could support my next point.

89 stated, in the media, that he was playing for career numbers.

89 punched teammates twice.  Can you name an NFL player do ever do that once?

89 said that he did not help WRs on his team because they are competition.

89 got into rookie WRs heads in camp.  I saw him embarrass a few at OTAs.  (How many WRs that have been drafted since Smitty succeeded here?  How many didn't?  Was Smitty actually making developing WRs more difficult?

Yeah, its all Gettlemen.  Blame the one guy whose decisions turned 7-9 into 12-4.

Smitty was a great player, but he had issues.  We have no idea what happened, but if I am the GM, the list I just wrote is enough for me to release an aging WR whose productivity dipped below his salary level.  Time to move on.

Got me thinking.

2013...Cam + pathetic rush attack from RBs + weak OL + weak WR crop = one of the top 10 most efficient offenses.

Did the offense lack Sportscenter plays? Yes. Did it lack big total yardage numbers b/c we didn't touch the ball a lot? Yes

Did it lack points? Yes

1. He wasn't the only player who complained about Chud.

2. That was 4 years ago, and we ended up going 2-14. Everyone was pissed, it was an awful season. He still stood up for Clausen as a teammate on the football field. Remember that play where we had Clausen try a QB sneak over the pile, and he got hit late?

3. You could have just stopped at rumor.

4. Please link us to this quote.

5. That was 6 years ago. Get over it. Ken Lucas isn't shouting from a rooftop about it. He forgave Steve.

6. Please link us to that quote.

7. Are you kidding me? He was competitive in camp?
