NICKS to CAROLINA!....at least for a possible visit

While you do have a valid point, and I do agree with you. I would have much preferred signing Decker who is younger and is known for a good work ethic, than to get Nicks who "we hope" will return to form with a change if scenery.

Forgive me for being in a crappy mood. We just lost Steve Smith, but we get Hakeem Nicks. A true win would have been for us to restructure Smittys contract while putting him in the slot for 2-3 more years.

Anyone care to tell me that Smitty even at this point won't be better than Welker in the slot?? Bueler???

I'm with you on most of this. I didn't want Decker or Nicks and I want just about any WR.

Nicks is not a number 1. He can be a solid complimentary guy paired with a true #1 but he ain't gonna just flip a switch and transform into his younger self. Unless we trading the farm to move up and grab Watkins I'm not sure Nicks is going to contribute all that much.

If you'd like we can go over stats from the past two years and have a legitimate debate without name calling. I don't think that you'll win that debate though, so it makes much more sense for you to have dropped this down to a 2nd grade level.

WE WILL BE IN THE PLAYOFF!!!

If youre already claiming the divison to the Aints or Bucs after the fa moves, you are insane.

We have the no2 defense and we could still get better in the secondary.

We have Cam. Looking more and more like Nicks will be a Panther and if we could get James Jones and draft a guy like Cooks we are right back on top.

Theres no such thing as rebuilding here. We're getting YOUNGER!

 

Yes in a perfect world this would happen and all is good. I will give you pie 1000 times if it does. But the reality is that we have MAJOR holes and no money to fill them. Even if Cam gets Nicks how are we going to keep him upright with teams in our div getting better pass rush. You build from the inside out and right now our inside Oline is a mess. If the injury bug hits then its even worse. Im just being realistic about this year so I can be surprised or not disappointed.

Who's getting better with pass rush?

Ill take Hardy over both Tyson Jackson and Michael Johnson.
