If he didn't have all the off the field issues, I'd definitely be on board. Blackmon has the potential to be a top 3ish WR in the league.

Having said that, we would desperately need Smith around to keep him in check.

At this point, I'd take a flyer on Blackmon when he gets back from suspension. I still think he's under contract with the Jags though. The guy has the ability to be one of the best WRs in the league but he's drinking himself out of it. 

 

Guys gotta be accountable to themselves first...losing Gross/Smith is going to hurt our locker room but if an adult making a lot of money can't realize he's drinking away his career..I don't know how much leadership would help.

Great talent, won't see the field because of disciplinary problems. How could you dump a first round pick on a guy like that? SMH. He screws up again you're not only out a first round pick but he's probably suspended for an entire season if not more. If he's cut, I wouldn't be against taking a chance on him for cheap though. Low risk with a possible high reward.

Jax is not going to cut him. There will be a dozen teams out there willing to give a 1st or 2nd for him.

I agree. I think he is better than Nicks or any of the free agents out there but with all of that risk,  I wouldn't go giving up high draft picks for him. What is up with OSU Wrs being insane?

Dont play madden first of all.

A clean Blackmon is 10x better than any receiver we could get at 28.

Plus, it was a question only. Never said it was going to happen so chill out bud.

It might. I wasn't trying to troll, it legit has me concerned. They just lost their OT target Anthony Collins to the Bucs on what Jones said were similar offers. Not a good sign.

you gotta read all of it. It was of course sensationalized by SI, and immediately discredited by the NCAA, but it was a lot more than players getting paid. It really exposed some ugly, ugly stuff going on in big time college athletics. I know UNC is catching a lot of heat for what's been allegedly going on in CH lately, but it's also frustrating to see a UNC witch hunt when unethical stuff is going on everywhere.
