Both. After watching the cap strapped 'Aints sign Byrd to a ridick contract, I say we can afford both. If we designate Godfrey as a June 1 cut, that opens up cash money the way hey intended on removing Sproles plus others in the future.

Collins, Oher and Strief, other than that im not seeing much else on the tackle market worth a damn. Collins would really help too. Played really well but hasn't done it enough for that dough for me.

Cutting Godfrey will free up space also, i think you will see that happen if these guys are signed...Thats why Getts is bringing in scrubs like Roman Harper already

With the revised contracts I am still taking Nicks. Much cheaper, more proven, more potential to be a top tier player at his position, and just as much of a need.

 

However, Collins still won't get 5/40, or if he does I'd be shocked. He's never even been a consistent starter (just a spot starter and backup). Top LT's like Monroe and Veldheer only got 5/37.5. I could see Collins at something like 4/25 or 4/28. Now if it's Nicks at something like 4/20 or Collins at 4/28 then it becomes a much tougher question at that point. I'd probably take Collins in that case since we could get a good WR with the 1st pick. Ideally both obviously.
