Steve is not "loyal".  He has bitched constantly in the media.  He asked for a trade when times were lean.

 

The only reason he stayed is because we could not trade him and paid him tens of millions of dollars.

So who would you blame next offseason when we only had 7 million available to offer Cam on his new contract because we had a Steve Smith extension on the books STILL?  Lose Cam to keep a 35 year old receiver does not seem like a forward thinking human, much less a GM
