Joe retweeted the guy who mentioned Collins having those offers like 15 minutes later.

Most teams don't have Aaron Wilson's like the Ravens or Schefter before he got picked up by the networks.

 

If we can keep this team headed in the right direction I could care less how good our local reporter is.

 

 

Ok all joking aside Joe Person sucks.  You can tell in ANY press conference when he's talking not just by the sound of monotone and poorly trained voice, but by how every player and coach basically rolls their eyes and lashes back out at the guy.  His only "noteworthy" stories are ones that piss off everyone in the organization.  Sadly we joke about armchair GMs here at the Huddle, but most of would be glad to have Person's job and could do it better than him.

Google says he went to ECU, but I think that's a mistake since it also says he played at Kansas.

 

Bad news is that he's actually IN Tampa right now. There has been an expectation that he was going to sign with them since Monday, but for some reason he hasn't. Could that be the sudden emergence of the Panthers into the mix?

 

The fact that he's already visited with the Bucs scares me. They'll likely have first crack at breaking the 'tie' so to speak, if all three offers are basically the same.

Jason Fox could be an option here if this doesn't shake out for us. Not as good of an option though.

Fox more of a RT from what I read, but is entering his 5th season out of Miami. Drafted in 4th round by Lions. Hasn't been able to stay healthy enough to get major snaps but won a starting spot at RT before injury bug hit again.

Started 47 games at LT for the U.

If Bell has improved enough to truly earn a spot at LT, rather than playing by default, Fox could be a pretty good option out of FA opposite Bell. Will compete for a starting spot.
