it happens all the time actually with multiyear contracts.

Cutting Stewart this year alone would carry an 18 million dollar cap hit in dead money. His current cap hit? 4.5 million

Deangelo - 6 million cap hit, dead money would be 9.6 million.

So, yeahhhhhh.

And the real sad part us that these contracts are not even the biggest reason we are currently in cal hell...even though they are overpaid and make moving them impossible. And the reason is not the 13m tag on Hardy.

The biggest reason (still Hurney'sfault) is the 15-20m of dead cap space we are carrying. That is nearly 15% of our cap. That is several quality players right there.

This is why it will take several seasons to get everything back on the right track.

We can not get Collins and nicks like people are saying. WE HAVE NO MONEY. Why can't all y'all figure that out. We are cap-strapped remember DG famous words.

You really don't know how salary, bonuses, restructuring, and the cap work

Google says he went to ECU, but I think that's a mistake since it also says he played at Kansas.

Bad news is that he's actually IN Tampa right now. There has been an expectation that he was going to sign with them since Monday, but for some reason he hasn't. Could that be the sudden emergence of the Panthers into the mix?

The fact that he's already visited with the Bucs scares me. They'll likely have first crack at breaking the 'tie' so to speak, if all three offers are basically the same.

Ya that might sway the vote a bit for them, plus like you said alot of people connected in the league have been expecting him to sign there

We can definitely sign Nicks and Collins and that would make this FA for me an A grade. My fingers are crossed but I'm not expecting much.

All I want is at least one of them. Obviously I would prefer if we got both but we just can't let both of them walk.

Cincy: 30M cap, Bucs: 25M cap, Panthers: 5M cap

Not a tough decision unless Panthers back loading a deal

It would be back loaded, Same with Nicks. Next year we will prob cut both our 20m RB combo along with a few more adjustments.
