Nothing being said that any NFL team doesn't already know

The rest of the NFL knows that he's supposedly hindering younger guys from becoming leaders?

We might want to talk to Thomas Davis too by the way, don't want any vets hindering anyone.

Trading him doesnt take any more off the books than cutting him. We save the same salary regardless. His bonus has already been paid and that prorated amount does not go with him in a trade.

The dead money is just the stuff we already paid (signing bonus). Yeah if we cut him the $3m in guaranteed base salary would also be dead, but if we trade him that becomes the new team's problem.

Rest of the NFL knows he is a VERY high maintenance player for a team

Trying to lump him in with TD simply bc they are vets is silly

You can't be very high maintence, be old, and put up Ted Ginn and Brandon LaFell type numbers in the NFL. Those guys start being one year rental guys

Define high maintenance. He isn't the only player in the NFL who wants the football in his hands, or plays with a chip on his shoulder, or talks trash. Arrogant football players, who ever heard of that, right?

No, the idea that anyone is hindering another player from becoming a leader is silly.

It really isn't silly.  He has years of seniority on everyone.  He is a legend in Carolina and essentially put the Panthers in their only Superbowl.  As long as he is here what he says goes.  Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing, we will never know because we are not on the team.

Exactly, we are not on the team, neither are these twitter reporters. I'll go by what his teammates say, and they have already voiced displeasure with the possibility of him not being in the locker room.
