If Smitty is a distraction what is Hardy?

Smith is 35 & an average WR. His antics include punching teammates, publicly throwing his young superstar QB under the bus, & being a loud mouth who takes over the locker room. He is old, malcontent, & stubborn.

Hardy is 25 & a top 5 DE. His antics include smearing paint on his face & calling himself Kraken. He is a few daisies short of a bouquet but his antics don't harm others on the team.

It's business. I approve of Gettleman's decision. I would rather cut ties with Smith & improve as a team while he goes elsewhere, opposed to crippling the team just so we can watch 89 shrivel into mediocrity & play out his career here.

I love Smitty but going forward he will only harm the team. High salary & low production. Will also be good for Cam to get out of his shadow. I want Cam to be the undisputed leader without having to look over his shoulder & make sure Steve is happy. We'll get to see Cam take over the huddle & command perfection. Don't be surprised when Cam is 10x more vocal, not only in encouragement but also in riding guy's asses when they goof up. It won't be a coincidence that it starts when 89 is gone.

You've been reading too much twitter news CRA.

None of that is new.

I brought up last off season 89's time was coming to an end soon. Always said if 89 wanted to play as long as his body would allow it would cause issues.......bc his negatives would be a bigger deal as his play declined.

Got bashed as a 89 hater around last off season simply bc I point out he is a handful and not this ideal player people want to spin him as.

Greg Hardy, and Deangelo Williams were recently asked about the impact of losing Steve Smith in the locker room.

They weren't happy about the idea.

But hey, apparently he is a super villain or something. At least that's what the twitter "journalists" say.

No one said he is a super villain.

A pain in the ass? Yes.

89 has been here over a decade.....if you don't realize he brings a lot of baggage then you got blinders on.

I brought up his negative side last offseason and how it could be the end of him as he ages.....that made be a "hater". It isn't hate. It is just a reality that more matters than if you were great and still can be decent.
