Ian Rapoport reports Darrelle Revis released by Bucs after one year

Recommended Posts

I remember doing cartwheels after that deal because it still kept alive the slight chance Star would fall to 14. What followed was epic.

Yeah, that's the real hidden bonus. Can you imagine Star and Luke in Tampa. They've unwittingly done us some huge favors drafting Barron and trading for Revis.

The Verner deal was a nice one but it comes at the expense of getting Revis out of there. McCown for 5mill a year, he was fantastic in Chitown but he wont have Marshall and Jeffery in Tampa, no way he reproduces that performance.

I hope that means they also now pass on a QB and delay Glennons development. Don't want to see Manziel in Tampa.

hes not getting 16. his money wasnt guaranteed. the bucs got out without having to give him a dime. they got screwed on the pick, but the contract was very smart.

Smart for Revis, it was stupid for Tampa. Revis got paid 16 mill for a rehab year. He will now get paid again.

Tampa gave up a high 1st rounder and a 4th this year, paid an injured CB 16 mill and then proceeded to play a man corner predominately in zone, horrible decision upstairs and downstairs.

They could have had Star and McCoy at DT for the next 10 years, now they have nothing.
