And you assume a lot. It's not about emotional attachment. It's about treating Smitty with the decency that he deserves. He MADE this franchise, and was the face of it for a majority of its existence...and now they're tossing him to the curb like they couldn't care less.

I don't know why anyone would be proud to rep Carolina colors at this point. Other teams that are already much better than us are making moves trying to improve, while our team makes embarrassing headlines. Even Michael Jordan spends money to win and people say he is horrible. He is not half as bad as Richardson.

This is one of the worst posts I've read on this board and that's saying a lot.

The people that hate the Patriots are either jealous of their success or they are fans of a team that gets kicked in the dick regularly by the Patriots. Their fans are classless because they are douchenozzles from the Northeast, not because of how their front office operates. And how could you say we're turning into the Patriots and mean it as something bad. My God, we should be so lucky. I'm not even going to start on using a Spike Lee movie as a reference to prove anything. Zoix! (That's a Scooby-Doo reference. Way more pertinent.)

 

I never said that they are classless because the Patriots are classless. I'm saying they put up with the organization's classlessness because the fans are classless as northeasters. I'm sorry I am a little biased against the Patriots (not having anything to do with that Super Bowl) because I've lived in Boston as a Panthers fan and I can't stand those fans. Like I really hate them, I detest them like a sickness. I seriously hate them. I can't even stress it enough. So that makes me hate the Pats organization as a whole and Belichick and Brady (they are obviously ridiculously good, but I have no respect for them off the field). And I mean it as a bad because of their known history of cheating, and BB being a complete douchebag to everybody, including his own children. DG is a business guy and he's coming across like a Bill Belichick. We're clearly not cheating or anything like that (as far as I know) but I just meant fans are losing respect for the FO of the Panthers.

 

As for the Spike Lee reference, I can tell you clearly have something against him or his movies for some reason, but the main point was just that there are people who go into business for reasons other than money. That's true regardless of who did the filmmaking and screenplay for that film. Don't understand why there's so much hate on Spike Lee. I understand some may disagree with some of his points of view, but other than that I don't see any reason to dislike him. He has made many absolutely fantastic films. (and some bad films...)
