I love how Smitty agent deliberately didn't mention pay cut and only restructure. Clear what his goal is.

100% certain that DG asked Smitty to take a pay cut and he won't do so, hence making a cut/trade a real possibility.

I guess Gettleman took him at his word when Steve said publicly on the radio the he wasn't redoing his contract. I would have thought he would've asked anyway but I guess he said fug it, I'll get someone else.
