For Denver, no. For NE...well, he's not not the missing piece of the puzzle. Their defense is their biggest weakness but their WR core's as mediocre as ours without him.

Look I love Steve Smith.  Not trying to denigrate the guy, but it is silly to act like being ranked below 40th in the NFL in catches, below 50th in the NFL in receiving yards, and only having 4 TDs is some sort of achievement for a #1 receiver that we should all be willing to accept and pay $7 million for.

 

Fact of the matter is he has declined in play.  He is playing with about 75% heart and 25% ability at this point.

 

Good things come to an end.  I will miss him, but time to move on.

So he was stunted because the Ravens couldn't "actually pass the ball" but had a better season than Smith with a QB who can "actually pass the ball".

BTW I hate you guys for making me talk poo about one of my favorite all-time Panthers.  But reality is reality.  It may just be time to move on.
