Campbell, a 25-year-old reserve who has not started a game in his four-year career and would likely fill a backup role in Washington, visited Redskins Park on Wednesday and agreed to terms on a one-year deal that called for a base salary of $645,000. Mike Jones of The Washington Post reported via Twitter that there were some issues with Campbell's physical.

No wonder we weren't interested in re-signing him. He's damaged goods.

You get the sense that Gettleman wasn't happy with the offense as a whole outside of a few players.  The fact we aren't trying to sign more of our own really suggests that he wants to start over and fine better talent likely through the draft.  The problem will be finding enough worthwhile vets to fill in while we develop the young guys without a big drop off.

Campbell's deal with the Redskins was voided because he failed his physical.

 

Word was that he's trying to get on with the Giants now.
