Nicks reps and Panther reps talking.....

Just FWIW, actually had a Twitter conversation with Jonathan Jones and Will Brinson today...neither see us going WR in the 1st. Jones even mentioned trading up, should one of the OT start falling.

Depending on the situation I would be okay with trading up for Matthews or Robinson. Don't want to give up too much though. Even if we sign Nicks (which I really believe we need to) we should still draft a WR at least in the 2nd round. With all the depth at WR, we NEED to draft one in the first two rounds.

If Decker doesn’t agree to terms with the Jets, look for the cat to again exit the bag regard his next potential destination. We’re told there are two other potential landing spots, currently ranked as 1b and 1c

Saw this on profootballtalk. I wonder if we're one of them?

No. He's a flat out #2 not #1, and he'll be too expensive. We don't have all the pieces to surround him like Denver to get production out of him.

Maybe you haven't been paying attention, but we don't have a #1, #2, or #3.  Maybe we have a #4 or #5 currently on the roster.

nobodys throwing him the big bucks yet. teams may view him as a #2 and not worth the big money...

and with all the depth we have at WR decker would be a great addition AS a #2.

He's demanding #1 money, maybe you haven't been paying attention. We can't afford Decker, and especially not since he'll be ridiculously overpaid. Nicks please, and then we can draft a WR in round 1 or 2, and then sign someone like Jacoby Jones or Sidney Rice. We could get Nicks and Rice or Jones for equal to or less than Decker, and Nicks will likely end up performing better than Decker.
