This is true I believe. The guy that tweeted he signed and the deleted it right after either was trying to start a rumor or possibly leaked something too early. No one really knows what's going on at this point.

The signing of Nicks would make me one happy Panther fan. I liked him in college and was hoping we could get him in the draft the year he entered.
