Saints are giving former Bills S Jairus Byrd a six-year, $54 million contract, including $28 million guaranteed, per source.

 

So they can give him this but not Graham? If i'm Jimmy i'm outta there

People are all over Twitter laughing at the Saints for handing out that contract. But guess what?

 

They have a couple to a few solid years left with Brees and are making one last push to get another ring. Once they take a WR at 27 they will have the pieces to do so. I really can't fault them for going all in to get a ring while they still can because of Brees. 

 

I'm not sure about you, but I'd sacrifice so many poor seasons for 1 ring.
