I do believe they have explored all options but, I wonder if the meeting with JR was less about being released or traded as has been rumored, and more about giving him a chance to stay if he'd adjust his contract? Maybe it took him a day to come around to it (today).

If smith reworked his deal to stay and we picked up Nicks....huge improvement for Cam
