Yeah, I would've been pissed if we had paid him that much.  I could see us going 3 mil/yr, but 5 mil/yr is ridiculous! Good for him, though.

I posted here on Sunday saying that some team would give Mike Mitchell $24 million. You can see why Gettleman passed on re-signing him.

 

Even if we HAD that kind of cap space, Gettleman would not have matched the 5yrs $25 million deal the Steelers just gave Mike.

Well looks like this means we are keeping Godfrey. I wouldn't mind re-signing Mikell now. He would be affordable and played well last year. Hopefully Lester can develop into a quality player for us.
