The media's constant attempt at trying to steer free-agents to sign and team up with "certain" qb's

So are Griffin's teammates also part of the media, seeing as a big reason for the had press he's gotten so far are statements by some of them?

Take this, for example: Will Robert Griffin III help or hurt the next Redskins coach?

(and don't give me some dumb answer like saying that those teammate complaints are fabricated)

As to the stat thing, the biggest stat people go by is games won. And if you want to knock 4th quarter comebacks as being indicative of a bad quarterback, you might wanna remember that Newton has a lot of them.

lot of those sources were unamed... lol

just heresay.... the same type of media outlets that said Cam had an attitude issue and needed to MATURE lol.. gee i wonder what rg3 and cam have in common...you ever notice the really good qb's of color are always under character assisination by the media.... what are they so afraid of.. i promise you when bridgewater outplays manziel this upcoming season they will try and make him look bad too.... please believe they wanted so badly to trash russell wilson like they did kaepernick before last years superbowl... but wilson had too clean a slate..even after outplaying Payme Manning in the superbowl they gave the sbmvp to a defensive player, when players like Eli have done less and won it... doesnt mean websites like tmz wont stop trying till they nab ole Russell Wilson... havent you noticed ..the media's ultimate goal is too make all qb's who are young and BETTER than Luck look bad, or come off as drama headcases.... i have watched rg3 since his days at Baylor.( you are talking about pure class, the way an athlete should behave)... im not supposed to believe that this guy turns into a hoodlum in less than a year haha,... all because he was outplaying Luck... and the people over at ESPN.. NFL Network couldnt take it.... how are they gonna say RG3 is another Vick,... when he is a more accurate passer than their messiah Andrew Luck.... the only way to make him look bad... is character assisanation

Yep.  They're all in on trying to make sure nobody but Luck looks successful

There are loads of things happening with the Panthers right now, but here on a Panthers message board all you wanna talk about is how much you hate Andrew Luck.

Grow up, kid.  Or at least find something new to talk about.  This garbage has gotten boring.

just wait and see how the media protrays Bridgewater when he starts outplaying Manziel.... i'll bump this thread... because i have seen this before... as a Panther Fan you should see how the media deals with Cam.... i know you see it, but you refuse to speak up for whatever reason

Education kid.  I like Bridgewater.  I don't like Manziel.  My only concern with Bridgewater is his durability.  I expect Manziel to be a huge bust and have said so many times (and I'm far from the only one saying so).

As to the media, they absolutely loved RG3 up until the recent drama with his team and teammates starting to call him out.  If he's successful with his new coach, they'll love him again.  Me?  I doubt he can stay healthy long enough to be successful.  He's essentially a track star playing football.

Bridgewater is an actual football player, albeit a relatively smaller framed one.  He should be successful if he can stay healthy.

And as to future media fawning, wait till you see what happens when Jameis Winston comes out.

Best advice I can give you: Lose the chip on your shoulder.  Quit whining everytime someone says something good about Andrew Luck because it makes you look like a jealous, insecure teenage girl.  And if you wanna be on this site, try actually talking about the Panthers.  This crap is just goofy.

The thing I hate is how the release of Steve Smith was covered on Sportscenter more than all of last season's winning streak. And the fact that the only Panther mentions are when we lose or if we win they make it look like Cam was the only reason we won, which puts him in an awkward situation w teammates and such

lol the media NEVER loved RG3.... the media loved Griffin when they thought he would be another Vick( that they could market to african-americans as another overhyped qb that would never win anything and make money off of jersey sales)... the only problem was that not only does RG3 NOT identify with about 80% of african americans in this country... he is closer to Aaron Rodgers than Mike Vick( the advanced stats show that), and the media kept selling to us that Andrew Luck would be the next Peyton Manning... they never invisioned RG3 taking the deadskins to a division title, The media already had everything in place to critisize RG3 his rookie year... but his first game was againist the Saints and RG3 lit it up while Luck threw 4 picks againist the Bears..... the media was hoping for the opposite.... just like when Cam threw for 400 yards in back to back games... i remmeber a lot of the media critisizing Cam for his football iq before that Arizona game, and many fans saying he would be Jamarcus Russell... when the media is wrong, they will never admit it...

People also forget that Russell Wilson was critsized a LOT too... many at ESPN were calling for Matt Flynn to replace him... 4 games into the season... that was around the time the  'FAIL MARY" againist the Packers happened... but the critics went away after the Bears/Seahawks game...

remmeber early in Cam's career the whole deal with the "towel on the head"... but when Cam led his team back againist the Dolphins and converted a clutch 4 and 10 this past season.... the media mentioned nothing about Cam's clutchness that game.. or when Cam outdueled Brady on MNF( the big fuss the next game was about the Kuechly on Gronk play in the endzone) and not the game-winning drive Cam put together... anything to take away attention from Cam and qb's who look like him.... they just said Cam has MATURED... lol when was Cam ever a problem child... he bought a stolen laptop... when he was 17... LET IT GO.. At Auburn he never got in any trouble... so far so good in the NFL... what maturing did Cam really need to do... this goes back to the CHARACTER ASSISINATION.... people from Auburn, and Carolina will tell you Cam is a great kid who does a lot for the community... but the media will have you believe he is a diva on the likes of Terrell Owens... the media is a very powerful tool....

Ooooohhh, so you're one of those "RG3 isn't black enough" folks.

(even dumber than I thought)

Grow up kid, or get a life.  Or both.  I don't really care.  If this is the kind of person you are, then you've now clearly shown you're not worth talking to.

Yup, they spin the story they want it to be. First Take (which is a joke of a show, but still) actually edited a clip of a press conference where Cam was asked a specific question that he did not answer directly, and then cut to a clip of him leaving the press conference to give the impression that he walked out, in reality he answered the question and was allowed to leave after 18-20 minutes of press time. I feel like people just enjoy hating on him just because a lot of people hate him, kinda like how most people hate Lebron for "The Decision" despite the fact he apologized and that it happened years ago. Shame that the media plays up the storylines they want and choose what players/teams to love and give airtime and what teams will be ignored/criticized.

no i love RG3... he's a role model to me... along with Russell Wilson... qb's of color succeeding with their backs againist the wall... having negativety thrown in their faces, while at the same time remaining composed like a gentlemen and not giving the media what they want... A REAL STORY... every story/leak surrounding rg3 has been UNNAMED SOURCES.... If you have never followed Rg3 you might believe it, but if you have followed RG3's career and know his background story and how he was raised.. you know probably none of it its true... keep in mind Shanny had beef with McNabb and Haynesworth... heck McNabb said beef between shannahan and rg3 would happen before he got drafted... that should tell you something

this has been an unusual free-agency

seems like 90% of the best free-agents have joined 4 teams... gee i wonder what those 4 teams have in common... lol

decker kinda broke the mold and left for the jets... but he only took the highest offer available

No one is holding those FAs at knife point to sign with any particular team. You're talking about how players are being encouraged to sign with 'certain' team with a particular QB, what you should talk about is how the 'brothers', as you might call them, never engage in any act of solidarity among themselves. If what you're talking about was important to them I am sure to show their solidarity to the 'cause'. Top FAs would take pay cuts to go play with minority QBs. Similar to John Thomson with the Hoyas in the 80s. Maybe the cause you're alluding to is not that important to them and this modern society. Maybe the fact that majority of players in the league being minorities is more a 'victory ' to them than a QB throwing for, say, 5000 yards. Those stats and SBs will all soon be a mirage in the long term but the face of the league will probably still stay the same, with maybe some minor changes. I don't think you see the bigger picture.
