Rotoworld are calling him a DL, not a DT, DE's are DL's too.

Currently? yes they are. But the Texans used to run a 4-3 with Mario as the other DE. Zona also used to run a 4-3. He played both RE and LE there. He has never played as a DT in a 4-3. I'm sure having played some 3-4 end he could certainly rush from the inside like Hardy does on some downs.

 

I think the confusion comes from the thread title, it should read DL Antonio Smith not DT as the OP got his source from rotoworld which called him a DL and he just erred in the typo.

This guy would be a wonderful acquisition to the defense but in reality he would be a luxury at this point. We have other positions that we need to prioritize.
