I hope this is premature, but eventually it will happen.  Very well put, Mr. Scot.  I would love to see Steve retire a Panther and go into retirement happy but if he feels he can go another year, so be it.  Go for it.  I'll follow what he does.  Will be missed in a Panther uniform for sure.  All professional sports has a business side.  It is time to trust the front office and see what the Panthers can do.  If Steve plays for someone else, I hope he retires a Panther.

Steve Smith gave me the inspiration to overcome my own obstacles as a young man. I'm just a couple years behind Smitty so it felt like we were growing up together.

This is what I knew would be the most difficult player transition. I cried for Minter, Jake, and Kasay. This one will probably take the cake. Call me what you will but this team and these players have given me an outlet to help me through some tough times.

My favorite memories have all been mentioned by other users but I'll never forget the fire and the animosity and the pure vengeance that he played with. The way he treated the game like payback for everyone who ever slighted him. He was the real life non retarded water boy. He visualized and attacked. No one was safe.

Thank you Steve, Smitty, 89. All of your hard work determination and fire have created a life long fan.

We all appreciate what Smith gave us on the field and we will miss seeing him on Sundays. But damn, some of you need to get a life. If this move really impacts some of you like you say....damn, just damn.
