If you're going to love Gettleman's strategy then you gotta go all in. It can't always be overpaid worthless scrubs that get cut to improve the cap. Sooner or later the money line crosses the talent line and a difficult decision is faced. I don't want Smitty to leave this way, but I do trust in Gettleman. I'm sure Jerry would have to sign of on this anyway - Steve's his boy. David Gettis better be ready to step up, that's all I know. Oh...

Let's not pretend Hurney had any other options than to draft those guys...

Hurney had a lot of mistakes, but he left some very nice players to start with here. Don't even act silly.

Cam, Luke, CJ, Hardy.

Nobody is bashing Gettleman, it's stating the obvious.

This stinks of Gettleman trying to clean up the mess he made by running his fat mouth before giving Smitty a heads up and Smitty airing his grievances out publicly afterwards.

What a cowardly move.

You're telling me Smitty won't restructure at all??? fug Gettleman, today at least.

We get pissed when Hurney overpays and is loyal to players because of their past production and then we get pissed with G-Man doesn't do it?

So from here on out if anyone even slightly questions a move we make, that means we want Hurney back?

Great logic.

Well if a writer says theres a source, I have to think most of the time its an agent. Whats his angle? Well, he needs to know how much his client is worth. So why not throw some poo at a columnist at NFL and see what brews up in the media and fan base.

the writer doesnt care how true it might be, he gets the clickies from all the internet news junkies. win win for them to write the hype.
