Gettleman is going to make this team in his image of what a solid NFL team should be. He doesn't care about hurting the feelings of the fans or players and nor should he. This is a business and is finally getting ran like one.

fug Dave Gettleman. That son of a bitch hasn't done anything right with this roster this year. He wastes a ton of cash on Hardy, he hasn't extended Cam's contract and it looks like he'll wait it out 'til next year then play hardball and watch Cam leave, plus now he's trying to get rid of Steve Smith.

 

What a piece of poo. fug this guy.

This is a terrible move.

yes the nfl is a business, but any great business person can tell you that business goes beyond the traceable numbers. what does the way our front office treated Steve reveal to our other players about their own future? if you play hard for us, through thick and thin, if you play with all your heart, and we reward you with a huge salary, one day when you're old and on your last leg we will cut you to save 3 million dollars and sign a new person who never bled for our team at all. but hey, they're younger, cheaper, so they must be better right?

That's why I said "this year," as in 2014. Last move Gettleman made that was worth a damn was extending Rivera's deal. He Hurneyed a one-year wonder at DE, and now he's giving Steve Smith the Steve Beuerlein treatment. 

 

Not to mention the fact there's been no discussion on a Cam contract extension. Can't wait for him to hardball Bus Cook. That'll go well.

Again its not about the $ or Smith's play but what goes on in the locker room. Smith is hot headed and overpowering. Gross is gone and the only Vet leader (besides TD) on the team is Smith, he is the only leader on the team that plays Offense. They want this to be Cam's team and it will never be Cam's team till Smith is gone.

That's really all there is to this.

Ask Cam off camera how he feels about Steve being possibly traded.
