I think it's fair, hopefully they'll play up to that expectation this season, which I think they will. Rotation will be key.

I thought we are a little high also given the lack of proven depth. Still the front office thinks the young guys can do the job and they talk with the coaches every day. Threy must know something we don't. I hope they are right.

Guys like Darwin Walker are still out there. The issue is that the FO really does want to go with the young guys and believes they will be better in the long run than a short term fix.

In the 7th spot is much higher than we deserve until we prove something. The defense was awful the last half of the year. Now I think we can get a good rotation and have some situational players now that can help us prove that we deserve it, but we haven't proved it yet...

I'm just glad they recognized that it was the injuries to Kemo and Lewis (as well as Beason) that really hurt the Panthers defense late in the season. It's really hard to stop anybody's running game when the whole middle of your starting defense is wounded.

Usually somebody worth picking up will get cut by another team when teams start making cuts. If anything we can another guy that way. Look at what happened with Tony Brown and Jovan Haye....
